The Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon is a globally anticipated event, known for its demanding course that attracts elite runners from every corner of the world. The 19th edition of the marathon flagged off at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium witnessed an extraordinary display of athleticism.
Sporting the adidas ADIZERO ADIOS PRO 3, Abhishek Pal and Kartik Kumar landed gold and silver medals, crossing the finish line in 1 hour 4 minutes 7 seconds and 1 hour 4 minutes 8 seconds, respectively. Added to the list of accolades was the bronze medal win by Poonam Sonune who finished in 1 hour 17 minutes 49 seconds, in the Indian elite women’s category.
Following the podium sweep in the recent TCS World 10K Race held in Bengaluru and the Berlin Marathon 2023, the adidas’ ADIZERO franchise has once again emerged victorious claiming 18 podium wins yesterday. The podium was unquestionably claimed by adidas athletes in the Indian elite and International elite categories. Additionally, adidas athletes Charles Matata (1 hour 5 seconds) and Viola Chepngeno (1 hour 9 minutes 9 seconds) ace the marathon in international men’s elite and international women’s elite categories, respectively.
