Dhaka’s leading Central Hospital inks pact with India’s BLK Super Speciality Hospital

Dhaka, December: Providing an impetus to Bangladesh’s growing capabilities and expertise in healthcare, India’s leading BLK Super Speciality Hospital has tied up with Central Hospital, one of Dhaka’s largest hospital and principal training institution for medical nursing staff. Through this agreement, BLK Super Speciality Hospital will help Central Hospital turn into a fully functional tertiary health care provider besides providing fellowship courses to doctors for various specialities at its state-of-the-art facility at New Delhi.

“We have always strived to join hands with healthcare centers which are promising, and do our best to enable and equip them with latest in training and technology. Central Hospital Dhaka and BLK Super Speciality Hospital New Delhi are iconic hospitals having great legacy. We are happy to be collaborating with Central Hospital and bring our expertise in super speciality care to Dhaka,” said Naresh Kapoor, Executive Director, BLK Super Speciality Hospital.

He informed that doctors and technical experts from BLK Super Speciality Hospital shall periodically visit Central Hospital to train its medical staff and keep them abreast with latest development in medical sciences with a focus on enhancing their capacities in Bone Marrow Transplant, Cardiac Sciences, Renal Transplants, Laparoscopic Surgeries, Oncology, Orthopedics, Neurology, among other specialities. “We shall also enable telemedicine facilities, besides helping referred patients with visa and other formalities,” added Kapoor.

Dr MR Khan, CMD, Central Hospital, informed, “We are happy that BLK Super Speciality Hospital has agreed to our proposal of helping us in building world class tertiary care facility. We would like to periodically invite doctors from BLK Super Speciality Hospital to visit Dhaka to conduct surgical camps and CME programs at our Hospital for training of our medical and service staff. We shall also send out staff for observership courses to BLK Super Speciality Hospital.”

Bangladesh has made rapid strides in healthcare facilities. In recent years, patients have been able to get world-class treatment and facilities. There has also been an increase in the number of global experts who travel to this country to support the healthcare initiatives.
